kojic acid

i've always been very vocal that i long wanted to have a fairer skin.
i have morena skin and unlike mestizas, i'm just limited to neutral colors. with make-up, i still go for earth colors and a big NO on the pink and red shades.
and so, i opted to use whitening products. from whitening facial creams, whitening soaps, whitening scrubs to whitening lotion. even devoted myself to likas papaya for over three years but it didn't have a good effect on me, and so i stopped. i made myself to believe that SKIN IS IN (from jergens ad) but who am i to resist the pro's of having fair skin.
being a pexer, i have joined some discussions on whitening products and kojic acid soap caught my attention. many pexers testified that after using kojic acid (brand unspecified), they were able to have a tight and more fairer skin. and so, i gave it a try.
it has been a week now and sm hypermart only offer a certain brand of kojic acid soap which is kojie san. i gave it a try after being hesitant at first because some of the threads that i've read mentioned that there'll be stinging and exfoliating when using it. there's no harm in trying and i just realized that just after using it a couple of days, my skin became quite a bit fairer. i've freckles in my arms and there was a slight discoloration. the dark spots are almost gone in just a week. now, talking about how effective it is, its a 100% success on my skin. it has an orangy smell, so sweet and fragrant that it relaxes me whenever i bathe. the soap indeed has a drying effect. just make sure to moisturize your skin after bathing. as for me, i have a diy oil that i apply every night.
if you're really determined to have a fairer skin, just go for it. if it makes you happy, then why not? just don't overdo it...
