still counting---- bench lifestyle card

i haven't accumulated a total of 10,000 points for my lifestyle card...shame on me...everytime i shop, i always forget my bench lifstyle card...i can still recall when my roommate and i went to moa and we bought 2 caps in human... i was so disappointed when i checked my purse and it wasn't there....sigh!!!! i just got it last december and i only paid a hundred for the card... such a great deal because its validity is good for five years. you may also get the card for free if your accumulated receipts reach ten thousand pesos within a year.... a two hundred reward will be given to you if you have already accumulated 10,000 points in your lifestyle card... bad news is that when you lose your lifestyle card, the points earned in your card will automatically be forfeited. might as well get another one and pay again...it's just so valuable that you have to keep it somewhere else safe.... by the way, you may use the lifestyle card not just with bench/herbench outlets...you ...

california maki

it made me puke when i first tasted sashimi... i had to brush my teeth a.s.a.p to take away that weird taste... yeah, right, japan is the only country that i want to visit before i die but i don't think i'll be forced to like what they eat and eat what they like... a friend, who happens to be so addicted to japanese foods, insisted that i might try california maki. i was hesitant at first but then, i gave in... how can i be so good in using chopsticks when i can only use it whenever i eat chinese noodles... there's no harm in trying and i told my friend that if i wouldn't like it, better be sorry... california maki looked so fine...with all these colorful ingredients in it, i grabbed a bite... i liked it, really and since then, it has always been a staple food whenever i go out and dine at japanese restos. right now, i'm craving for california maki... i really do and after work, i'll drop by at tokyo-tokyo to get 2 orders of it... never been to saisaki...

Heart Attack and Warm Water

Heart Attacks And Drinking Warm Water This is a very good article. Not onlyabout warm water after your meal, but about Heart Attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drinkhot tea with their meals, notcold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit. For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It's nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify theoily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal. Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jawline. You may never have the first chest...

freakin' tuesday

i'm about to leave the office in an hour so i decided to blog how my day went on... goodness, for the longest time in february, i arrived in the office earlier than expected. i had to process our monthly time charges ahead of time and i had to canvass a laptop for our office somewhere in the visayas region... i ain't done with the matrix yet and i'm a bit sleepy now... i hope tomorrow's going to be a very busy day with a bit of twist... say, coffee breaks with sno board (oh so good).... still thinking, what else is in store for me for the year of the OX??? a marriage proposal isn't a bad idea, after all....

extra rice pls?!?

(another e-mail sent. read on. it's interesting) DON'T EAT TOO MUCH RICE The human body was never meant to consume rice! You see, our genes have hardly changed in more than 30,000 years. However, our food choices and lifestyle have changed dramatically. The caveman would hardly recognize our food or way of life. Caveman food was never cooked as fire was not yet tamed. Thus, he ate only those foods that you can eat without treatment with or by fire. He ate fruits, vegetables, fish (sushi anyone?), eggs, nuts and meat. Yes, even meat. You can even eat meat raw if you were starving in the forest. You have the necessary enzymes to digest meat. However, rice, like wheat and corn, cannot be eaten raw. It must be cooked. Even if you were starving in the desert, you cannot eat rice in the raw form. This is because we do not have the system of enzymes to break rice down. You were never meant to eat rice. To make matters worse, you not only eat rice, but also make it the bulk of your f...

this is REALLY BOGUS!!!

upon checking my e-mail, this is what my friend sent me. it's all about a fastfood in makati that has AIDS. Where in the world would you find a fast food chain that has AIDS? would you believe it, it says that a 14 year old boy was diagnosed with aids in makati medical center. and it's all because of karate kid in waltermart whose cook had a cut on his finger and accidentally, his blood was scattered in the food being served. heck, we all know how hiv is transmitted. we're not ignorant about hiv and i don't think gma would report something as malign as that. there was no proof nor any clear evidence that the kid got hiv because of that. so lame... and here's whats more shocking. look at the screen shot above. it really looks like that of the gmanews.tv site. to confirm it it is true, i googled it but i failed. indeed, the story was bogus. but why? why would someone ruin gma 7's credibility and warn the public about this incident in karate kid? i haven't ...

hold-up booboo

what happened last wednesday was so unforgettable. i'm close to being robbed but i still had the guts to act as if nothing's wrong... i didn't panic nor became a bit hysterical. i've been a devotee of the our mother of perpetual help. after work, i would always rush to redemptorist church for a novena on wednesdays. i never ever thought that as early as 8pm, someone would even dare to declare hold-up in the jeepney where i am at. the only guy who went to my side (i was seated right beside a guy near the driver), pointed a gun to the driver. I DIDN'T PANIC AT ALL BECAUSE I THOUGHT HE WAS JUST KIDDING AND HE WAS JUST HOLDING A TOY GUN. but when i looked at the guy beside me and the driver, i knew, right there and then that the guy was really trying to rob the passengers of that puj. he told me to give him my cellphone. i responded that i don't have any (good thing, my bag wasn't at my lap that time. i placed in somewhere under my legs. the passengers inside th...

swarovski crystals

sure, you've seen a lot of stalls selling swarovski bracelets, earrings, rings, necklaces and even anklets. i'm just so happy that i can make those accessories on my own... i accept made to order accessories. just leave me a comment if you're interested. prices vary depending on the materials that i'll be using. that means more crystals, more expensive...

from a womans p.o.v. (point of view)

how to MEN d a broken heart so you've been dumped? you found out that your boyfriend had been cheating on you... your guy left you for another girl... your guy wanted you out of his life... your guy called it quits... it only goes down to the word, BREAK UP ! i personally hate break-ups... and i really feel for those girls who have been dumped just like that after years of being together... after sharing those times together... after that roller coaster ride... at some point in their lives, they were inseparable and then the next, they can't stand being together anymore... why is life like that? i've been to a lot of break-ups before and everybody does, at some time in their lives... it's not really easy to get over it. in fact, it will take time to heal all wounds... it's not an overnight thing that you can get rid of all the pain the next day... you have to pass through different stages. from my point of view, here are some positive ways to mend that broken h...

V day

whats with valentines that all these couples are planning? a fancy dinner in a cozy restaurant, candle light dinner for two, asian cruise for two, valentine concert, romantic movie, quality time with your partner, flowers, chocolates, stuffed toys or any gift that has a heart in it? oh so lovely... but what about us whose beau's are out of the country? i've no plans this saturday. p & i will just celebrate it just like any other ordinary day. it's sad to be far from your loved one not just on valentines but on any other day as well. but i can't do anything about it. we can't do anything about it but just to bridge the gap. besides, we'll just make each day a valentines day.

marian rivera's boob slip

marian rivera's left boob accidentally slipped while she was doing her production number in SOP last sunday ( feb . 8). obviously, the dress didn't fit her well. as you know, anything can happen on live shows. such thing could have been avoided if she used a more safer dress. i know for a fact that some hollywood celebrities has a technique when they wear revealing gowns or dresses. just like J Lo, perhaps, who cleverly uses double-sided sticky toupee tape to secure all her gowns. i won't post the link where you can play the video. just google it if you want.

average post per month

and my average post per month is.... NINE!!! whew, i've to admit. i'm languid when it comes to blogging! i have a lot of thoughts juggling inside my head but i'm really having a hard time expressing them in words. that may sound awful but soon, i'll get over it. i promise... i'll post some sensible issues here and interesting facts. believe it or not...

manic monday

8 am and i'm on my way to the office. it was not the usual monday. i only slept for barely two hours and i still feel a little bit muzzy. i dropped by the store to buy an orange juice, it's as if i'm dehydrated or something. i was about to take my ride to the office when i noticed that my puzzle ring ain't on my forefinger. it shocked me. it was my dad's gift to my mom. and i lost it. i hurriedly went back home and checked the streets for any traces of the ring. i know it would be close to impossible to find that ring, some people may have gotten it or it might have been flushed in our toilet. i can't recall where i lost it. OMG. all i know is that i was wearing it last night before i went to bed. but thank heavens, when i checked my purse inside my bag, it was just in there. now i can recall. it could have been when i paid for the orange juice and when i returned the purse inside my bag, the ring came with it. now, i'll be more careful next time. this ri...

euphoric sunday

my college friend, who is gay, invited me out on a sunday afternoon. i am about to go to the salon for a haircut, mani and pedi but he was really persistent. we met in yoshinoya, went to starbucks, went to seattes best coffee, figaro, mcdonalds and cafe havana. i didn't stay in cafe havana that long because it was already late. good thing, it wasn't raining anymore. from greenbelt, i took the cab and i arrived at home in fifteen minutes. there's no traffic. as of this writing, i still don't know where AD is. i hope when i left last night, he met someone who has the same sexual preference as he is. truly, AD is gay but he's a nice person inside and out. yes, he's gay and he prefers caucasians over asians... thinking: i never thought that AD is addicted to caffeine. i never thought that every caucasian guy would make him giggle. i never thought that we'll be able to establish sisterhood . @ mcdonalds, AD forgot to get his change for the thousand bill that h...

single and not looking

i'm 30 and p & my relationship is on the rocks now... i cried really really hard just a while ago but i have to stop now... everything happens for a reason and now, i'm giving up... giving up on crying but i'm not giving up on love! i'm 30, single and not looking!

suicidal

don't you think i'm suicidal? indeed... i've thought about it before and it's just so stupid to end your life just because you think you're a complete failure. oftentimes, i felt that i really didn't have to live any longer. more often than not, i felt useless. i felt as if my existence was merely a joke that i had to go through such difficulties and hardships. But as i think about it, everyone comes to a point that they want to give up. but they just can't because of their loved ones. those who have suicidal tendencies needs a psychiatrist... we always have to face that fact that we have to deal with our problems and running away from it won't do us any good...

dealing with depression

' for once in our life, there'll come a point that you'll get depressed. whenever i get depressed, all i want is to be alone... but life is too short for grievances. it's all about moving on and letting go...

moms bd!!!

love you so much mom. happy birthday!!!

ningas kugon

NINGAS KUGON is a filipino idiom which connotes a behavior or action not meant to last. Yeah right. Ningas kugon lang ako pag gusto kong magpapayat. I can't help but eat. I always crave for sweets, fruit shakes, siopao asado, pizzas, california maki and fried chicken. I have so much appetite that even my mom is already trying to stop me from eating. P told me that my body is fine but i have to flatten my tummy. ahhh, now i remember my post on flatten my tummy project . true, ningas kugon lang talaga ako . but my bulging tummy is becoming an eye sore. most of my recent pictures really show how flabby my tummy is and it's just so frustrating.

dieting again

today's not a very good day... but i'll make it one simply by starting my day blogging. a part of my mind says that i badly need to lose weight but a part of me also tells me that dieting is not a good idea, i have to watch what i eat just like seeing a calorie meter everytime i munch on foods that has high calories in it. i just so love to eat and lately i've been addicted to cakes. what am i gonna do when all the people around me are all telling me that i have a bulging tummy just like of a 4-month pregnant woman? first things first. let me check my weight. ideally, i weigh a hundred and six pounds. now i'm up to a hundred and twenty. so there, i have gained 14 pounds. next, what are my eating habits. i always have a heavy meal every morning and even on lunch and dinner. i just cant stop myself from indulging in too much rice and cakes. but it has to stop NOW. i know i can make it. i have said this a hundred times already but i think it's just about ...

owning an expensive cam doesn't guarantee you a career in photography

anyone can take photos, now that we have wide arrays of digital cameras in the market but i believe, it's not the camera that you use which makes the photographs extra ordinary. it's the person who captures it. be it a hobby or profession, photography is only limited to those who have a passion for it... i'm not a photographer but i have always loved photography. it interests me the most more than any hobbies out there. i've been eyeing for a canon point and shoot cam since last year but Nikon D40 caught my attention one time i was in the mall. it costs around 27K minus the accessories. quite expensive if it'll only be for personal use. so i suggest, those who haven't mastered photography yet, just like me, why don't you just start with the basics and perhaps learn some techniques in photography. owning an expensive cam wouldn't guarantee you great photos... being a good photographer takes a lot of hardwork ... as for me, my digicam ain't that ...

kojic acid

i've always been very vocal that i long wanted to have a fairer skin. i have morena skin and unlike mestizas, i'm just limited to neutral colors. with make-up, i still go for earth colors and a big NO on the pink and red shades. and so, i opted to use whitening products. from whitening facial creams, whitening soaps, whitening scrubs to whitening lotion. even devoted myself to likas papaya for over three years but it didn't have a good effect on me, and so i stopped. i made myself to believe that SKIN IS IN (from jergens ad) but who am i to resist the pro's of having fair skin. being a pexer, i have joined some discussions on whitening products and kojic acid soap caught my attention. many pexers testified that after using kojic acid (brand unspecified), they were able to have a tight and more fairer skin. and so, i gave it a try. it has been a week now and sm hypermart only offer a certain brand of kojic acid soap which is kojie san. i gave it a try after bein...

on whitening products

do you think it's logical for mestiza models/actresses to endorse a whitening product? i beg to disagree... it's a fact that the skin color depends on the amount and type of melanin in the skin. dark skinned people have more melanin unlike fair skinned people. melanin acts as sunscreen and it protects the skin from UV rays. now, going back to my question, if it all depends on melanin, why would those companies let mestizas endorse their whitening product when they already have fair skin naturally? i just don't get it. it's just like letting a slim person endorse a diet pill. just a piece of advise... if you want the public to know how effective your product is, don't fool them. mestizas don't need whitening products because they're already white...
